Michael “Hennedog” Hennessy is a writer, Vietnam War veteran, and retired attorney based in Oceanside, California. A native of St. Louis, he served as an Army infantry platoon leader during the Vietnam War before pursuing a legal career that spanned more than four decades. After earning both his JD and an LLM in Taxation, he built a long practice grounded in discipline, precision, and service.

Today, his attention has shifted toward writing and the quieter rhythms of coastal life. His work is informed by lived experience — military service, decades in the law, and an enduring curiosity about people, memory, and place. Outside of writing, Mike spends his time fly fishing, playing guitar, baking, and enjoying life.
